Low water pressure?
Map out the symptoms.
The most useful first question is where the problem happens. One weak faucet and a whole-home change can have different causes.
Book online ↗Compare the affected fixtures
Note whether the problem occurs at one fixture, in one room, or throughout the home. Compare hot and cold water during ordinary use. Record whether flow changes when another fixture is operating; do not adjust unfamiliar valves or pressure controls to test a theory.
Think about the timeline
A sudden change, a gradual decline, and a problem after a fixture replacement each tell a different story. Mention recent plumbing work, utility notices, and any visible leak. These observations help guide assessment without guessing the diagnosis.
Pressure and flow are related but different
Weak flow at an outlet does not by itself establish a low supply-pressure reading. A restriction in a fixture or pipe can affect what you observe. Ask how the problem will be checked and what evidence supports the proposed repair.
Know when to ask the water supplier
If a broad change coincides with a supplier notice or affects nearby properties, the water supplier may have useful information. For a problem inside the home, request a plumbing assessment and share the details you have gathered.
